My 17yo daughter is all gung ho about getting a tattoo when she turns 18. I'm not opposed (I have two myself:)) and we have already visited a local tattoo parlor to give her an idea of what to expect. The place was cruddy..it caters to college kids mostly and the artwork was awful! So, we've talked about having the tat mean something and if she's gonna get one she should save her money and get a good one!
Maybe we should quit watching Tattoo Highway? LOL Thomas and the gang have spoiled us with the spectacular artwork:)

i feel for you - between carl and myself i think we have pierced everything you can (although carl pretty much only has holes at the moment) and carl has a bunch of tat's. i have two lined up to get this year (one a dragonfly actually) so yeah, our "you have to wait until you're 18" chat probably won't go great. :)
although to me "don't get tired flash" is a more important convo. but you got that covered cuz yours are cool.
Don't let her get so many of them so close together, at least. Say "not until you're fifteen, sweetie."
