Whoopsie

I love when celebrities say really dumb shit.
Poor Lindsay Lohan. It's not like she needs any help looking like an ignoramus.

I had to watch it a few times to figure out what she muttered under her breath, but I'm pretty sure it was an unpleasant descriptive word for African Americans that hasn't been politically correct to use since blacks and whites had to use separate water fountains.

So, thoughts?

Did she say "colored" president?
Did she say "Good" president?

Yeah, um, Lindz, the trailer park called. It needs it's trash back.

Lindsey, the 50's called. We don't say "colored" anymore.
If you are/were the Obama supporter you claim you would know the current terminology because he used it in nearly every speech.
Crawl back in that drug infested nasty hole of yours!

Yeah, she said "colored". I am actually surprised that she knew who was even running, much less who won.

mmm... not to give her undeserved credit, but...
If she was a racist, used to calling black people "colored" would she be a know Obama supporter? The last person I heard say colored was my brother's grandmother, who thought she was being nice because she doesn't say nigger anymore.

We are really stretching this, eh? I use the word "black"... will I suddenly be called racist in ten years? What about the NAACP? You do know the words behind that acronym, right?

Lindsay might be dumb, but I reserve judgement on the content of her character until I receive more information.

Is it really so bad to say colored? Actually, I mostly find it just really weird. Who even says colored anyway, whether intended in a bad manner? It doesn't exactly seem racist to me, anyway. Actually, I love the word negro. It's probaby my favorite word, but that's ok because I'm colored and all.

Nitewalk, I think the coke's finally burned a hole through her lil brain. Aw. Poor girl.

Booya, Me too.

Kim, Yeah, I think it's more ignorance than racism.

Scoot, I think that's wise. I'm not saying she's racist, just maybe a little dopey. And truth be told, I don't think saying 'person of color', as is PC nowadays, is really any less offensive than saying 'colored'. It's exactly the same thing when you look at the words literally. This is more about what the word 'colored' kind of evokes...memories of discrimination, violence, intolerance and hatred in this country in the not so distant past. A person should know better.

Mr. F...as I said above, I kind of agree that the word itself is stupid. It's more that a person in the public eye should choose her words better. I guess there's a reason Obama rejected her offer to be one of his spokespeople. Thanks anyway, Lindz! It's cool!

Also, it's kind of in fashion now to be anti-PC to get laughs, but girlfriend was so not doing that. She was just being, well, herself.

to me, the word "colored" doesn't evoke memories of discrimination, violence, intolerance and hatred in this country. it evokes memories of watching re-runs of "the jeffersons" when i was a kid.

re-runs of "the jeffersons" hold many fond memories for me, in fact...

and besides, obama's only half-colored, so she's technically only a half-racist.

Oh, yeah! Obama is half Irish, just like me! It's nice to finally have someone with my background in the White House...

Jeremy, The Jeffersons have provided a pleasant backdrop in some of my more fabulous memories as well. And you're right, he is biracial (that's what we call it these days). Well played, sir.

Scoot, yeah, I think that explains what we call the 'white guy ears'.

When my grandma used to say the word "colored" she'd sort of half whisper it as in - "Honey, lock your door. There's a (whisper) colored man. Now lock it!"

I don't think I find the word colored to be racist either. To me, it kind of implies that we were meant to be special. You know, like baby Jesus personally colors in all the ones he really cares about.

I'm surprised the coloreds are taking this all so well. They're usually so sensitive.

The sheriff's near! That's what I meant to say the first time.

Whatever. She's a skank bag anyway.

Between her, Paris and Britney, we should all be glad our kids hate them as much as we do.
